Card Game
We are planning on creating a new card game (not named as of yet) which will be based on soccer. It will be a free to play game an more than likely link in with the social media networks such as Twitter and Facebook. It is in the very early stages of planning at the moment, we're still deciding which frame work will work better for this, rules for the game, how it will work with social media networks, and of course still trying to find that elusive eye / ear catching name to use!
Basically if you can imagine the likes of Magic The Gathering meets fifa from the Xbox / Playstation you can see what we're trying to come up with. We're hoping to have something playable before the end of the year, but nothing polished. It will be more of a pre-alpha kind of thing. Once a name / domain has been purchased the entire development process will be viewable / playable online.
The Rules
We're keeping the rules close to our chest for the moment (pun intended!) We don't want people stealing our ideas and there is a fair chance the rules will change. As said in the short it will be esentially a Magic the Gathering styled game with a soccer twist, you'll have to use your imagination from there.
We're hoping it'll only be a month or two until we have something for people to see. The D&S team has a lot on in the next month or two so we might kidding ourselves in thinking that, but it's always good to have dreams!
Where to from here?
Well we've still got a lot of planning to go on it, we've had a couple of lunch meetings to talk about it and have a general idea. We are still deciding what frameworks to use, how we're going to structure the code and what media it will be available on. Right now we're leaning towards facebook and iPhone.
